Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for gender, birth date, general health level, tobacco use, coverage amount, and term preference—six pieces of information. Those answers are sufficient to fetch rates from carriers. Personal information like name, location, or health records is only requested if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates shown are what each carrier quotes for the class you picked. Underwriting can confirm, raise, or lower the class, which changes your final price. The numbers displayed are comparison estimates only—not a guarantee, an offer, or a rate lock.

What happens when I click Apply?

You provide your name and move to a secure application prefilled with your quote answers. The application is hosted by the carriers' platform. You can exit and return; applications go through electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the submission.

Will I need a medical exam?

It varies by carrier, your requested amount, and your answers. Most carriers today have accelerated approval paths that skip medical exams for applicants in certain age and amount ranges. Each quote indicates whether the carrier requires an exam, might ask for one, or generally approves without one for your scenario.

Is a longer term better?

A term should span the years your dependents would struggle without your income—a mortgage balance, raising children, or a business obligation. Longer terms charge more monthly but preserve your rate for longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't ask for any contact information. We don't sell or trade visitor data, and we don't use cookies or conventional tracking. Visit our privacy page to see the complete inventory of what's collected and by whom.
